Hair Donations
You're making a difference! Any hair that can be used for wig production will be donated to your preferred organization. Hair that cannot be transformed into wigs will be directed to the Hair Matters program, where it will be repurposed into mats and booms to assist in cleaning up oil spills and preserving our waterways
Wig Production
Many organizations ask for at least 12 inches of hair, and it typically takes around 8-12 ponytails to create one wig. If you wish to donate your hair to a specific organization, feel free to inform me or you can send it directly. If you don’t have a preference, all suitable ponytails will be donated to Wigs For Kids.
Hair Mats
Hair that is not suitable for wig production will be donated to the Hair Matters program via Matter of Trust. This initiative transforms hair of all lengths into mats and booms designed to aid in cleaning up oil spills and maintaining the cleanliness of our waterways.
